RESTORING HOPE

Through local missions training through education.

Christ Central Institute is the mission training college of Christ Central Ministries. We at CCI are committed to educating students to prepare them for a life in Community Missions with a focus on learning how to engage schools, churches, businesses, and government in identifying and addressing the root causes of poverty, community by community.

Students at CCI have an opportunity to live on our beautiful 52 Acre rural setting campus or become a commuter student. Students at CCI are taught community missions, bible history, and gain experience by serving inside local mission stations during their time tenure. Students will learn how to work with five areas of influence in any community: Government, Commerce, Education, Church, and Individuals.

Our program is a one year and two year certificate program. After the completion of our program our hope is to see our graduates begin to use the skills they have learned to begin working in existing missoin stations within our organization or begin a new work where they see need to begin a new mission in the community where they are from, meeting needs that arise in their communities.

We are currently working on partnerships with institutions of higher levels of study, where CCI students can further their education by transferring credits to other institutions if they choose to do so.

Our goal is to give students an opportunity to be taught and get their education at a fraction of the cost of traditional colleges or universities. Classes are treated like any college or university in its level of professionalism and level of training. Grades are issued just as any other institution with credits being awarded at the completion of each semester.

The teachings, example, and challenge of Jesus Christ, our faith in Him, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit are the motivation for and foundation of our efforts, and our mission, in its simplest terms, is to honor Jesus by serving others faithfully and wisely while watching and giving thanks for all that God is doing. It is our hope that, in that process, others will hear and respond to the Good News of Jesus.

We believe that communities are rich in unrecognized resources, undiagnosed problems, and, with respect to poverty solutions, leadership vacuums. Christ Central’s mission is to enrich those communities through a process of disciplined research, careful diagnoses, and loving remedies. We accomplish that by serving and energizing churches, schools, businesses, individuals, and government to work together to develop effective servant-leaders, identify resources and problems, and focus those resources on the most serious problems. Could you be one of those servant-leaders?

Christ Central Institute is an unaccredited school. A school is accredited when it has been investigated and found worthy of approval by an accrediting agency. Accreditation alone (or the lack of it) does not determine whether or not a school is legitimate or credible, since not all accreditation is equal. Some accrediting agencies are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), but others are not recognized. Also, some schools are based outside of the U.S. and are accredited by standards which differ from those of the recognized agencies in the U.S. Prospective students should be aware of these important distinctions.

CCI is not accredited and is not currently pursuing accreditation for two main reasons:

First, we wish to continue having local pastors and our directors teach Bible classes. Some of these pastors/directors - although called by God, gifted, and experienced in teaching - do not all have Masters Degrees. Second, we want to keep the cost of tuition affordable so that more students have the opportunity to study at CCI and remain free from school debt. Accreditation by a recognized agency would mean that we would have to abandon these priorities. Instead, we have chosen to remain unaccredited and seek to demonstrate the credibility of CCI through compliance with generally accepted accreditation standards, articulation agreements with accredited colleges, and especially through the spiritually fruitful lives of the students who have attended. We are inspired by Paul’s words to the Corinthians, “Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you? You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men.” (2 Corinthians 3:1-2)
